In 2016, IWC decided to look at the origins of the Big Pilot's Watch and slightly modified the model. The IWC-manufactured 52110 caliber movement brings together some of the most important watch inventions. In particular, it has an efficient Pellaton automatic refill system with elements made of white or black ceramic and thanks to two barrels, it provides a seven-day driving range. The "3 o'clock" indicator indicates the power reserve still available. The Big Pilot's Watch features a "6 o'clock" date display and a central second hand, an essential element in all aviation models. The 46 mm diameter case, waterproof 6 bar, houses a second soft iron case to protect the movement from magnetic fields. The model also features an exclusive conical crown. The back of the Big Pilot's Watch is engraved with the legendary Junkers JU-52. The black calfskin strap completes the whole perfectly.
