The Pilot's Watch Automatic Spitfire remains true to the pure instrumentation design of the Mark 11 sailing watch, produced since 1948 for the British Royal Air Force. The new IWC-manufactured 32110 caliber appears for the first time in this functional timepiece. The robust automatic movement has a bidirectional ratchet winding system which provides a 72-hour driving range. The watch is easy to wear thanks to the 39mm diameter. The bronze case, the olive green dial and the brown calfskin strap give it an exclusive personality. Over time, and depending on use, this material takes on a slight patina that darkens its color, giving the Pilot's Watch Automatic Spitfire a unique and unmistakable character. An internal soft iron case protects the movement from magnetic fields.
