The Pilot's Watch UTC Spitfire Edition «MJ271» is produced in a limited version of 271 units. MJ271 was the original name of the Silver Spitfire at the time of its use. As part of the "Silver Spitfire - The Longest Flight" project, in 2019 this aircraft will be the first Spitfire to circumnavigate the globe. The combination of bronze case, olive green dial and brown calfskin strap gives the timepiece an exclusive personality. Over time, and depending on use, this material takes on a slight patina that darkens its color, giving the Pilot's Watch UTC Spitfire Edition "MJ271" a unique and unmistakable character. The UTC mechanism allows you to easily set a second time zone. By turning the crown in one direction or the other to an intermediate position, the hour hand advances or retracts in one hour increments. If the date change line is crossed during the operation, the date also changes automatically. The residence time can be read in the arched UTC indication, typical of IWC, located at the top of the dial. The brand new IWC-manufactured 82710 caliber is equipped with a Pellaton refill system with components made of wear-resistant ceramic and has a 60-hour power reserve.
