No other model expresses the fascination of IWC Schaffhausen aviator's watches like the Big Pilot's Watch. The cockpit instrument's purely functional design and oversized conical crown were inspired by a 1940s military observation watch. The Big Pilot's Watch 43 is a faithful interpretation of this original design with no additional elements on the dial and in a 43mm stainless steel case that combines an extraordinary presence on the wrist with maximum comfort. This model features a black dial, rhodium-plated hands and a brown calfskin strap. Visible through the sapphire crystal caseback is the IWC-manufactured caliber 82100. The Pellaton winding system has been reinforced with ceramic components and creates a power reserve of 60 hours. The practical EasX-CHANGE system and a choice of straps in calfskin, rubber or stainless steel offer a high degree of flexibility. In combination with the 10 bar water resistant case, this transforms the Big Pilot's Watch 43 into a modern and fully versatile sports watch.
