The indication of the moon phases of the Portugieser Perpetual Calendar deviates from the actual duration of the lunation of a single day every 577.5 years. In the perpetual calendar with indication of the double moon, the representation of the different lunar cycles takes place in a mirror image for the northern and southern hemisphere. The Double Moon model features a "chemin de fer" type of small parts, typical of the Portugieser family. In addition, the IWC designers have created the entire indication of the moon phases as a star-studded night sky, in which the moon and stars seem to float in an endless space. The elegant timepiece fulfills every wish: perpetual calendar, four-digit year indication, seven-day driving range with Pellaton recharging system and indication of power reserve. The manufacture movement of the IWC 52000 caliber family is equipped with solid red gold rotors and blued screws. Made of 18-carat red gold with a slate-colored dial, the watch features a glass with accentuated camber and a black alligator leather strap.
