Ceratanium® was developed by IWC and combines the advantages of titanium and ceramic in one material. Made from a titanium alloy, this patented material is rigid and light as titanium, but at the same time it is robust, immune to wear and scratch-resistant just like ceramic. The other special features are the comfort in contact with the skin, the high resistance to corrosion and its exclusive matt black color. All the components of the case, buttons and pin buckle included, are in Ceratanium® and give the watch intense black shades. The Double Chronograph is equipped with an integrated rattrapante function which allows the timing of two activities carried out simultaneously. The necessary energy is provided by the self-winding movement caliber 79420 for an autonomy of 44 hours. The watch has a black dial and hands and is combined with a black rubber strap with fabric insert.
