The Portugieser Grande Complication brings together many of the most important refinements of watchmaking art. These include the perpetual calendar, programmed mechanically until 2499 (only requires three corrections in the non-leap years 2100, 2200 and 2300), the perpetual indication of the moon phases and the chronograph. The minute repeater, by operating the appropriate slider, punctually punctuates the time with striking sounds. There are a total of 20 functions made possible by the interaction of 659 individual mechanical components. Despite the complexity of the assembly and the numerous control elements, the case is waterproof 3 bar. In the exclusive 18-karat red gold variant, made in only 250 pieces, the Santoni dark brown alligator leather strap is embellished with a red gold stitching. The engraving on the back of the case depicts a classic compass rose.
