Deep Black

By exploring the depths of the ocean, OMEGA has expanded its experience in the field of ceramics to create the Seamaster Planet Ocean "Deep Black". This extraordinary 45.5mm timepiece was born from the combination of a GMT model with a diving watch.

Brilliant and brushed, the case is composed of a single block of ceramic, while the Sedna ™ 18K gold bezel features a ceramic ring with a Ceragold ™ graduated scale. Sedna ™ 18K gold is also used for the helium crown and valve, as well as for the hands and indexes, coated with white Super-LumiNova. The black ceramic dial is completed by a GMT ring and the Arabic numerals in 18K Sedna ™ gold. Another absolute novelty of OMEGA, the screw-down case back so that the engraved text maintains its position. This feature is obtained thanks to OMEGA's new patented Naiad Lock ceramic closure.

Other features include a screw-in caseback with honeycomb motif and a water-repellent leather strap with antibacterial treatment on the rubber coating. The Planet Ocean "Deep Black" is waterproof up to 600 meters / 60 bar and is animated by the OMEGA caliber 8906 Master Chronometer. To obtain the status of Master Chronometer, it has passed the 8 rigorous tests established by METAS (Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology) .
